Overview of service
Retail giant Tesco is a long-standing client of ORS. The firm takes pride in supporting Tesco with its expansion in Ireland
Tesco Ireland engaged ORS to provide multidisciplinary services on the procurement and renovation of its stores nationwide. The services provided include project management, due diligence building surveys, environmental assessment, fire safety and disability access consultancy, design and assigned certifier, civil & structural engineering, and as-built topographical and utility surveying. The new stores include a range of services and supports, including grocery home shopping, click and collect, F&F clothing and homeware, Express Stores and large format stores.
Project challenges
To deliver Tesco’s growth plans, ORS filled several key roles to ensure a continuity of service and knowledge retention over the coming years. The ORS Project Management Team coordinates the management of the various service lines and other external design team members. This control and centralisation of the design team allow for ease of communication and tighter cost controls, providing excellent service delivery to the client.
ORS has committed to a CPD Programme with the client, providing continuous CPD training and lessons-learned sessions. This supports the ongoing improvement of efficiencies on a project of this scale and duration. The result is the delivery of a consistently high-quality service and client experience.
