Project Outcome
The Charles House development presented significant engineering challenges, including a highly constrained brownfield site, complex demolition and asbestos removal, variable ground conditions, and the integration of external deckâaccess walkways. Civil works required careful coordination with dense existing utilities and limited space for SuDS solutions. Strong BC(A)R compliance and multidisciplinary collaboration were essential to maintain programme certainty. These challenges were addressed through robust structural solutions, efficient civilâinfrastructure design and proactive coordination across the project team.
